Into the Amazon 6 days

We will pick you up from your hotel or the airport at 7:00 am and drive for two and a half hours, with one 20-minute stop for a toilet break. We will then take a one-hour ride by car and boat to our lodge. 

Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a welcome drink made from natural fruit juice. After lunch, we will discuss your requirements for the jungle. After lunch, you will take a canoe trip to the flooded forest (Igapo). This is a very pleasant way to discover the Amazon.

After dinner, we will go on a boat ride to explore the river at night and catch some caiman. Also there are some snakes who are more active at night, we might see some. After this activity we will head back to the lodge to spend the night.

This morning you will wake up with the sounds of the jungle. Many guests mentioned they never have forgotten this night many years later.

Once everyone has woken up, we prepare breakfast and go for a big hike in the depths of the Amazon Rainforest.

Our native guides will explain everything about the flora and fauna and (possible) animals you see along the way. We will also teach you about the medical plants which are found in the Amazon.

During the rest of the day we will explore the forest and its amazing nature in depth. In the evening we return to the campsite to sleep our second night in the jungle.

This morning we will start to hike back to our boat, after breakfast.

After this we will do a fishing trip on the surrounding rivers. Our guides will teach you how to catch fish with traps and with a rod made of gear we find in the jungle. All kinds of fish are known to be catched, but the fish which is catched the most is the black piranha.

After a while we will go back to the traps which we have set-up and check if we have catched some bigger fish. Once we have done the fishing we will go back to the lodge by boat.

This morning we will do a canoe ride and check if we have catched some fish with our traps we have set before. We will also see the astonishing nature of the area. 

In the afternoon, we will visit a local native family and have lunch with them. They will show us how they have managed to live in this area and will tell us all about it.

This night you get the chance to sleep in their camp and really feel at home in this part of the Amazon.

This morning we will have breakfast with the local family. After this we will return to the lodge to take a shower and pack our bags. After lunch we will depart and we will arrive in Manaus around 5:30 PM. We are able to bring you back to your hotel you stay in or directly to the airport. One amazing experience richer!

At 5:30 we leave by boat to see the sunrise and listen to the sounds of the Amazon. We will also try to see the pink and grey dolphins.

After breakfast, we will prepare our stuff because we are going deeper inside the Amazon Rainforest for the next 2 days and 2 nights.

After the instructions are given we will have a canoe ride for 2 hours. This is the perfect way to explore the amazing nature around you. After we finished the boat ride we hike for 1,5 extra hours to reach our first camp side.

The guide will teach you how to make a fire and cook the food. We will also prepare our hammocks for the night.
